14-15 months

Tyler, you are 15 months old!  You are growing so much every day!  I feel like every time I look at you, you have grown!  You are at such a learning stage right now!  I feel like everything I do with you needs to be so precise because you are watching everything and taking it all in.  I know you learn from everything I say and do...I try to talk in complete sentences with you and say words for everything we see or play with.  I really feel that it is so important that you say the word for everything...even though we may think it is cute to call it something else or in "baby talk", but being in the education field...I only see that as hindering you down the road...so we will talk in full words and sentences!  AND...you can do it!  My favorite right now is I was giving you blackberries the other day and I said, "Tyler, would you like some blackberries?"  You responded.."blackberry" and you will repeat it every time we say it with you!  So funny that you picked up on that!  I think you do the best with "b" words.  You love to be outside still and love for us to give you all of our attention...it is so cute the way you will take our hand to come with you when you want us to go somewhere.  You are really good at holding our hand usually and I love that, especially if you want to walk in a store or across the street.  Makes me feel so much more at ease when you are walking.  You are a little dare devil and so brave!  Nothing scares you, which scares me!  You have had some accidents where you have gotten some bumps and scrapes due to the fact that you are not scared!  Some of your favorite words right now: dada, mama, up, blackberry, bird, cracker, duck, quack quack, out, bath, book, and you jabber all the time!  I love when you will carry a phone around and jabber and laugh like you are really having a conversation with someone.  You love animals, especially dogs, birds, and rabbits!

You weigh about 23 lbs and are about 30 in. long.  You are a growing girl!  You LOVE to eat!  Sometimes your daddy and I joke that you eat more than us!  You will pretty much eat anything that we do.  You love fruit and chewy granola bars!  You get so excited with these foods!  You really love trying to drink out of a cup and if I have a water bottle and you see it...you have to have it...with the cap off!  You love water...usually if you get to drink out of the water bottle or play with your water table, you are drenched head to toe!

We celebrated your 2nd Easter and you did so well!  You hunted every egg the Easter Bunny left for you at home...it was too cute watching you!  You got lots of goodies from so many that love you as well as goodies left from the EB at home!  You looked so cute in church in your yellow dress and big flower!  We have many play dates with your cousins Alex and Ethan and our neighbor Finley.  You love seeing all of them!  A couple weekends ago, we went to visit your cousins and played at Suson Park in South County.  We saw cows, horses, chickens, geese, ducks, and pigs.  We played on the playground and we were worn out by the end of the day!

God has blessed us with the most perfect little girl ever created.  We are blessed with a healthy and happy baby girl!  I can't believe how fast you have grown, I just blinked my eyes and this little miracle that was placed into my arms 15 months ago turned into a sweet, fun loving toddler!  I love seeing what a smart, brave, hilarious, beautiful little girl you are!

You are my absolute joy.  You have taught me how to be completely selfless and to appreciate not only the big monumental moments of life, but even the small moments that usually get overlooked.  Tyler, you may think that the only person learning in our mother/daughter relationship is you; however, you continue to teach me not only how to me a mom, but a better person.   Yes, you have your stubborn moments as well, when you believe you are in charge and will not give up on getting what you want...don't know where you got this from! Ha!  I love you and hope that you will carry this with you in life and never let others step on you!  I'm excited to see what the coming year has in store for you and to continue on your journey of learning and growing, just please don't grow up too fast!  You deserve to be a baby (I'm still having a hard time calling you a toddler), free to try things out and make mistakes, for as long as you can!  Tyler, I'm so very proud of you, and blesses beyond measure and will love you forever and always.

Love,
Mommy
